Gocce Italiane "Best Seller Set" - EVOO + 6 Year Aged Balsamic
Sale Price: $50.00 Original Price: $55.00

Our 6-year balsamic condiment paired with Sicilian cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. These are the two bottles we would put on a kitchen counter if we could only choose two. Assembled here in Nashville from the same producers we import from directly.

Contents: 6 year balsamic condiment and extra virgin olive oil

Producer: Gocce Italiane, Emilia Romagna and Sicily

How to use it

Combine in a shallow dish and dip fresh bread for your first introduction. Beyond that: caprese, roasted vegetables, grilled chicken, a simple leaf salad that needs nothing else.

Why it's different

The right first purchase if you have never bought either from a real importer. Both bottles are useful every week, and neither needs any technique to enjoy.

Gocce Italiane Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold-Pressed Sicilian, 500ml Tin
$26.00

Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed within six hours of harvest and unfiltered. Intense and fruity with the almond finish typical of Sicilian olives. Three litres in a light-proof tin — our best value per millilitre, and the size to buy if you cook with olive oil rather than merely own some.

Origin: Sicily

Pressing: Cold-pressed within 6 hours of harvest, first press

Style: Unfiltered, rich in antioxidants, no additives

Size: 0.5 litres (500 ml) tin

How to use it

An everyday oil good enough to finish with. Pasta, dipping bread, grilled vegetables, roasting, dressings. The tin keeps light out, which is what actually degrades olive oil.

Why it's different

Speed is the whole story with olive oil. Most supermarket oil is pressed days after picking, by which time oxidation has begun and the polyphenols are fading. Six hours is what keeps the pepper in the back of your throat.

Gocce Italiane Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP Extravecchio, 30 Year Aged, 100ml Wood Gift Box
$185.00

The oldest balsamic we import, and the most strictly governed food product in Italy. Thirty years in a battery of barrels, from cooked grape must and nothing else — no wine vinegar, no caramel, no colouring, no preservatives. The DOP designation permits exactly one ingredient: time.

Designation: Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena DOP, Extravecchio

Aged: 30 years — the Extravecchio minimum is 25

Ingredients: Cooked grape must. Nothing else.

Size: 100 ml, in the Giugiaro bottle used by every DOP producer

Packaging: Wood presentation box

How to use it

Use it by the drop, not the spoonful. Over aged Parmigiano Reggiano, on a ripe strawberry, across a seared steak after it leaves the pan, or on vanilla gelato. In Modena it is taken neat from a teaspoon after dinner as a digestivo.

Why it's different

Every bottle is filled and sealed by the Consorzio Tutela in Modena, not by the producer, and only after passing a blind tasting panel. The bottle shape is trademarked and identical across all DOP houses, carrying a numbered seal at the neck. If a balsamic is not in that bottle, it is not DOP — whatever the label says.

Real data, not marketing speak.

754 mg/kg

Polyphenols in Trebbio’s Leccio del Corno, our highest. The EU sets 250 mg/kg as the floor for its olive oil health claim. This one is three times that.

6 hours

From tree to press, then stainless steel under inert gas until bottling.

Olive oil

30 years

In a battery of barrels for our Extravecchio DOP, blind judged and sealed by the Consorzio.

Balsamic

We buy Italy region by region, and we choose every producer ourselves.

Balsamic from one family cellar in Modena. Olive oil from the Sicilian coast and, from early 2027, a biodynamic estate in the Mugello hills north of Florence. Three friends in Nashville, founded 2023. Nothing on this site came through a broker.
