Pietro Torti Barbera
We believe that great wine starts with healthy soil and farmers who genuinely care about their impact. This 100% Barbera from Pietro Torti is a shining example of what happens when independent artisans let the land speak for itself.
Sourced from vines planted in 2005 sitting at an altitude of 320 meters in Montecalvo Versiggia, this is a beautiful, unmanipulated expression of the grape. After a 10 to 12-day fermentation on the skins, the result is a wine with a brilliant ruby red color and an intensely fruity, vibrant nose. On the palate, it is dry, well-structured, and meant to be enjoyed young.
At Fratelli del Vino LLC, we seek out wines that belong on a table shared with friends. Serve this Barbera at 18°C (about 64°F) alongside a rustic spread of traditional cured meats—like pancetta, coppa, and salami—to experience the true spirit of the Alta Valle Versa.
